El eslovaco Peter Sagan se ha convertido en el primer corredor profesional que ha alcanzado las 20 victorias en 2013. El hito lo ha alcanzado en la primera etapa del Tour de Alberta en Canadá, prueba 2.1, que suma así a la del día anterior en la etapa prólogo celebrada en Edmonton.
En esta ocasión su éxito ha sido en su hábitat natural, el sprint, donde ha superado sin dificultades al estadounidense Young y al holandés Hofland. Mancebo, único español participante, se ha clasificado en el mismo tiempo en el puesto 26º.
Obviamente, el corredor del Cannondale sigue de amarillo, con Mancebo en la 19ª plaza a 53 segundos.
Este jueves, 2ª etapa entre Devon y Red Deer, sobre 175 kilómetros.
