El GP Cerami (1.1/Bélgica) fue una de las pocas ocasiones en las que llega la fuga y ahí el actual campeón del mundo de ciclocross, el local Wout Van Aert fue el más listo y el más rápido firmando su tercera victoria de la temporada en carretera
Tras el paso por el Muro de Geraardsbergen, a 80 kilómetros del final se formó después la escapada clave con Jean-Pierre Drucker (BMC), Wout Van Aert (Verandas), Dries Devenyns (Quick-Step) y Benjamin Thomas (Ejército Tierra). La presencia de dos equipos de primera división y el entendimiento del cuarteto provocó el desenlace final con el éxito del joven belga que ya ganó antes en Limburgo y Brujas.
La carrera no tuvo representación española.
