El colombiano Carlos Betancur es el colíder del UCI World Tour tras haber alcanzado al anterior Simon Gerrans tras su victoria en la París-Niza, segunda prueba puntuable. Ambos encabezan la clasificación con 114 puntos, sólo dos de difererencia con Alberto Contador, tras su éxito en la Tirreno-Adriático. José Joaquín Rojas baja del 7º al 10º para situarse como segundo mejor español.
Por naciones sigue mandando Australia, por delante de Colombia, que sube una plaza, y de España, ya 3ª desde la 6ª posición anterior. Por equipos, el nuevo líder es el AG2R francés- equipo de Betancur- que desbanca a los italianos del Lampre, mientras que el Tinkoff ruso entra directamente en la segunda posición, gracias a los puntos de Contador y Kreuziger. El Movistar, único equipo español de la elite, es cuarto, mejorando cuatro lugares.
La próxima prueba puntuable será la Milán-San Remo este domingo.
