Thomas Boudat (Direct Energie) se ha adjudicado la clásica Cholet-País Loira tras superar en el sprint a Hugo Hoffstetter (Cofidis) y Roy Jans (Cibel).
La victoria parecía en poder del veterano Sylvain Chavanel, que salió del pelotón a falta de 5 kilómetros para el final, pero a escasos 30 metros de la meta fue cazado por el grupo principal y finalmente fue su compañero Boudat –que este año se apuntó la primera etapa de la Vuelta a Andalucía– el vencedor.
Samuel Dumoulin, Nicolas Edet, Fabien Grelllier, Quentin Pacher y Julien Antomarchi fueron los últimos supervivientes de la fuga del día, compuesta por 24 unidades. No obstante, el quinteto fue cazado a 8 de meta y, pese al intento de Chavanel, la victoria se decidió al sprint. Mikel Aristi fue el mejor español en la undécima plaza.
