Gianni Moscon no ha podido tener mejor reaparición. El corredor del Sky, que no competía tras ser expulsado del Tour de Francia el 22 de julio -15ª etapa- por agredir a Elie Gesbert (Fortuneo), se ha llevado el triunfo en Lissone, en la Copa Agostoni 2018, tras 200 kilómetros. El italiano ha superado con claridad al estonio Rein Taaramae (Direct Energie) en el mano a mano con el que se ha resuelto la carrera.
Ángel Madrazo (Delko-Marseille) ha sido uno de los grandes protagonistas de la jornada. El cántabro ha rodado escapado durante gran parte de la carrera junto a Damiano Caruso (BMC) o el propio Moscon, que finalmente se ha asociado con Taaramae para el tramo final.
