Diego Ulissi (UAE) ha conseguido la victoria en la segunda cita canadiense, el Gran Premio de Montreal, después de que el viernes fuera Peter Sagan, hoy 9º dando tiempo a los a priori favoritos, el que se impusiera en el GP Québec. El español Jesús Herrada (Movistar) ha sido segundo en un final de etapa muy emocionante después de que marchara escapado en la última vuelta y media. Ha completado el podio Tom-Jelte Slagter (Cannondale).
La fuga que ha llegado a meta estaba compuesta por Ulissi, Herrada, Slagter y Jan Bakelants (Ag2R), que ha acabado cuarto. A seis segundos ha cruzado la meta el Trek Bauke Mollema, depués Tony Gallopin, que ha atacado en varios momentos al final para intentar contactar, y Greg Van Avermaet, 7º, dando tiempo al grupo con Sagan y otro ‘cazador’ como Michael Matthews (Sunweb).
