El neerlandés Pim Ligthart (Direct Energie) se ha vuelto a reencontrar hoy con la victoria al imponerse en la Ronde van Drenthe (1.HC) disputada en su país natal. Para él es su primer triunfo desde la primera etapa de la Vuelta a Andalucía de 2015 y el más importante, junto al nacional de Países Bajos de 2011, conseguido en su ya larga carrera deportiva, que con el de hoy suma un total de seis triunfos.

Regresa el fin de semana de carreras a Países Bajos con la disputas de las distintas categoría de la Ronde Van Drenthe. El caso de la prueba masculina, categoría 1. HC, constará de 217 kilómetros de recorrido y dieciséis tramos adoquinados pasando por el duro VAM berg en cuatro ocasiones, punto más alto de la provincia de Drenthe, serán también claves en el devenir de la carrera. La subida de origen artificial cuenta con rampas máximas del 15% y un tramo de pavé de 160 metros.
Tras un parón de dos semanas, el Burgos BH vuelve a la competición en esta ocasión como único equipo representante español. Por su parte, el gaditano Juan José Lobato (Vini Fantini) también estará presente en la salida de Zuidwolde.
