El italiano Jakub Mareczko (Willier Triestina-Selle Italia) ha sido el vencedor de la última etapa del Sharjah Tour (2.1) que, tras no disputarse el pasado año, ha vuelto en 2018 al calendario y que se ha cerrado con una etapa completamente llana por las calles de Old Sharjah donde los corredores han tenido que dar un total de diez vueltas a un circuito de poco más de nueve kilómetros. El corredor transalpino repitió triunfo en las calles de la capital del emirato después de la victoria que ya consiguiera en la segunda etapa.
Como era de esperar, la última etapa se decidió en un sprint en el que el hombre del Willier Triestina, con su pecualiar forma de pedalear en los metros finales, pudo superar, casi sobre la misma línea de meta, a Bryan Cocquard (Vital Concept)
El vencedor de la general final ha sido el español Javi Moreno (Delko), que tras seis temporadas en el World Tour no podría haber comenzado de mejor manera su aventura en el conjunto continental profesional francés. Además, la victoria de Moreno supone la primera española en esta temporada 2018.
Además del jiennense, otro andaluz, el granadino y sub-26 Gabriel Reguero (Vib) aprovechó el corte final para acabar sexto en la general, 4 puestos por delante de Delio Fernández, compañero de Moreno, cerrando el top 10 de la ronda arábiga.
