El neoprofesional australiano Aden Paterson (À Bloc CT) y el ucraniano Vitaliy Buts (Shenzen Xidensheng) fueron los animadores de una etapa en la que su fuga, siempre controlada por el pelotón, fue la principal nota a destacar sobre los 150 kilómetros que sirvieron para poner en marcha la tercera edición del Tour de Antalya, prueba turca en la que la media montaña será la jueza que decida el nombre del vencedor final.
El dúo, que nunca tuvo una ventaja superior a los dos minutos, fue neutralizado a falta de 18 kilómetros para la línea de meta. El último susto llegaría a poco menos de 5 kilómetros para el final, cuando el pelotón, que rodaba a una gran velocidad en ese momento, se dividió en dos grandes grupos por unos instantes, aunque los corredores que se quedaron cortados estuvieron muy atentos y solventaron rápidamente la situación.
En el sprint final la victoria fue para el estonio Mihkel Räim (Israel Start-Up Nation), ganador de una etapa en la Vuelta a Castilla y León en 2018 y que el pasado año se llevó la general del Tour de Estonia. Con este triunfo, claro está, el excampeón nacional estonio se coloca como primer líder de la carrera.
