Al estreno como nuevo campeón austríaco, conseguido hace escasos cuatro días en Feldkirchen in Kärnten, Matthias Brändle (Israel Academy) se ha impuesto esta vez en el prólogo inaugural de la edición 2019 del Tour de Estonia, celebrado en la capital Tallin sobre un recorrido de 3,7 kms. Brändle invirtió un tiempo de 5:26 que le permitió ser el primer líder de la carrera báltica con una diferencia de 9″ sobre el polaco Maciej Paterski (Wibatech Merx 7r), segundo, y en tercera posición el estonio Peeter Pruus (EST) también por 9″ y escasas centésimas.
